Eleuthera Island The Bahamas

BahamasUnited Servants Abroad short-term mission teams will use this facility while ministering on Eleuthera. These ministries include construction and maintenance projects at churches, a Bible institute and a Christian based foster home for children. The short-term projects will also include opportunities to work along side the churches on Eleuthera by providing teachers, VBS programing, choirs, music seminars, puppet ministry, youth ministry and sports camps. Most ministry programs being used in the North American Church can be duplicated by a short-term mission team serving the Bahamian Church. JSMH will also serve as a conference center for North American churches that would like to retreat to a setting on the mission field. The Bahamian church leadership will also have the opportunity to utilize the facility for conferences and retreats. Missionary families serving in The Caribbean need a place where they can "get away" with family for some rest and relaxation. JSMH in its secluded setting offers leisure and enjoyment and can accommodate multiple families. United Servants Abroad will use JSMH to house pastors and lay leaders that are brought to the island to see the many opportunities to incorporate the North American Church into a relationship minisuy with the Bahamian Church. The Jordan Stone Mission House looks forward to serving you as you come to Eleuthera to participate in the physical and spiritual work of the Kingdom of Christ. If you would like more information about the ministry opportunities in the Bahamas and the possibility of your group utilizing the JSMH, contact us with the information provided on the back of this brochure.

The name Jordan Stone was selected to once again remind us of God’s mighty hand. In the fourth chapter of Joshua we read that one man from each tribe was to take a stone from the dry bed of the Jordan River.

"These stones are to stand as a memorial; and in the days to come, when your children ask you what these stones mean, you shall tell them how the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord when it crossed the Jordan. Thus these stones will always be a reminder to the Israelites. Thus all people on earth will know how strong is the hand of the Lord. "
